Two years ahead of its 60th anniversary, the Inzago-based company has drawn up a three-year plan built on three pillars, HR, Technology and IT, to keep doing what it does best: staying ahead of the market.
A presentation box that turns buying a perfume into a small unwrapping ritual. A carton that holds a wine bottle and produces a tribute to its terroir, even before the cork comes out. A collector’s edition that means as much to the person receiving it as the music it holds. In tailor-made secondary packaging, the difference between a box and an experience comes down to a few millimetres of finishing, to embellishment done with real craft, to a delivery time honoured without sacrificing quality.
It is within this razor-thin margin that Pozzoli SpA — based in Inzago, with further sites in Marano Vicentino (Pozzoli Couture) and Paris (Pozzoli France) — has built its reputation from 1968 to today. And it is to defend and widen that margin that the company has decided to commit to a three-year investment plan in Human Resources, Technology and Information Technology, ahead of an occasion that could not be more symbolic: the 60th anniversary of its founding, in 2028.
The plan grows out of a clear-eyed reading of how the market Pozzoli operates in is changing: luxury packaging, cosmetics, wine & spirits, fine food, entertainment — sectors being reshaped by new customer expectations, supply- chain pressures, accelerating digitalisation and a growing focus on sustainability, a theme on which highend packaging is now called on to prove that elegance and environmental responsibility can coexist. For Pozzoli, responding to these shifts means doing so with the same method that has always defined the company: determination, precision, and the ability to turn complexity into opportunity.

People before machines
The first pillar is about people. Pozzoli aims to strengthen its human capital through new hires, continuous training and growth paths, to attract talent that shares the company’s culture of innovation and artisanal excellence.
«The quality that sets us apart comes from people’s hands and minds before it comes from machines. That’s why the first investment that makes sense is in people: without the right skills, even the most advanced machinery goes to waste» explains Alfonso Cefaliello, Chairman and CEO.
Machines and data, one single investment
The second and third pillars run in parallel: on one side, new, latest-generation machinery and production facilities to expand processing capacity and cut execution times without giving up quality; on the other, the modernisation of the digital infrastructure, to make processes more agile, integrated and data-driven, both in internal management and in rela tionships with customers and partners.
«Technology and IT need to be thought of together. A new plant without the data to run it just produces the same old mistakes, but faster. We want every investment in machinery to be matched by an investment in information: know sooner, decide better, correct in time» notes Carlo Miranda, General Manager.
Modernity, market, method
Behind the three pillars, three words guide the plan: modernity, market, method. Updating facilities, processes and skills without losing the competitive edge of artisanal quality; translating investments into concrete commercial results, through new customers, new sectors and greater international reach; and, above all, changing pace in how the company engages the market — quicker to listen, more proactive in its proposals, more solid in execution. «Our industry has no mercy for those who wait for the customer to spell out their need. The best way to meet it is to anticipate it. That’s what our founder Aldo Pozzoli used to say when he founded the company in 1968, and it’s still the principle that guides us today» continues Cefaliello.

2028: A snapshot, not a promise
In this sense, 2028 is not conceived as a finish line to be celebrated by looking back, but as a milestone on a journey already under way.
«We don’t want to reach our 60th anniversary and discover that the market has changed while we haven’t. We want to get there having already done the work: a more modern structure, more solid processes, better- prepared people. At that point, the anniversary will be the snapshot of a change that has already happened, not the promise of a change still to be made» says Miranda.
From Grafica Pozzoli in 1968 to today’s multi-business group, with business units dedicated to Entertainment, Cosmetics & Perfumery, Wine & Spirits and Food, the company’s history tells the story of constant evolution without losing its identity. It’s the same balance that the investment plan aims to protect: growing without losing itself, going digital without ceasing to be craftspeople.
«Investing in the future is not an option — it is our responsibility to those who believed in this project and to those who will believe in it tomorrow» the Pozzoli family and management conclude.
A statement that sounds less like a slogan and more like a commitment made to customers, partners and to the company’s own history.
