“Shape Your Identity” originates from a core reflection by designers Andrea Basile (Basile ADV) and Vincenzo Memoli (Vimem): not how to depict oneself, but what to depict. It follows the same approach that directs their work with brands: initially, the identity is established, then the visual form that represents it is created.
This principle manifests in dynamic cylindrical surfaces that evoke the label as an element capable of enveloping, protecting, and telling the story of the contents. Also designed in motion, the visual interprets identity as something living and constantly evolving.
The tagline summarizes this process: identity creates form, form becomes language, and labelling turns into a narrative medium. The aim is to design visual systems as spaces for identity and storytelling.
The cover paper – Sappi Algro Design 300 g/m² + Sfera Satin
A single-coated pure cellulose board with a light primer on the reverse side to ensure print brilliance on both sides, offering versatility for subsequent processing and finishing. Algro Design is part of Sappi’s innovative portfolio of high-quality pure cellulose cardboards designed to enhance both graphic and premium packaging applications. Sappi ALGRO cardboards provide exceptional surface quality, vibrant colour reproduction, strength, and printability, delivering outstanding results in finishing processes.
Stratosfera’s Sfera Satin is a paper that blends elegance with character, designed to enhance the visual and tactile appeal of the most refined publishing projects. Its satin surface provides a gentle softness to the touch, while the silver finish gives the cover a modern look. The result is a substrate that enhances the clarity of forms, graphic details, and print finishes while maintaining an elegant, minimalist appearance over time. It is precisely because of these qualities that Stratosfera chose to use Sfera Satin for the cover: a paper that is not just a material, but a design element capable of conveying care, style, and identity.
The printing
Grafical printed the cover using four-colour UV offset printing, with white ink applied. It then applied transparent hot foil and debossing. Finally, it applied black hot foil to the word “Lovers”.
The finishes
The cover features finishing techniques achieved through a minimalist hot foil stamping process. The capitalized lettering is produced using Lumafin® Clear 799, applied with a Hinderer + Mühlich cliché, creating a transparent reflective effect that interacts with the light and the paper’s surface. This transparent and brilliant effect adds a subtle yet dynamic finishing touch, enhancing the design without altering the substrate colour.
The paper for the interior – Sappi Magno Volume 115 g/m²
A heavyweight, matt-coated paper that offers a natural feel combined with sharp image reproduction, creating a warm, pleasant, and authentic sensation. With a broad selection of papers, finishes, and grammages, the Magno range is crafted for outstanding performance across all major printing methods, including offset and digital, even at high speeds.
